Casting doubt on

We are thus protected of thousand details which could at once either make us get close to him, or on the contrary separate us from him; the way he moves his hands, his look, the tone of his voice, a harmless tic, the smell of his perfume, etc.
He is totally disembodied and he is reduced to words that he chooses and manages.

He thus lends himself to the fact that we idealize him and plan on him all our fantasies
Our dreams of prince charming (or of charming princess). But also the part of ourselves which always remain dissatisfied.

Because none of our love stories in the real life can fulfil us. (Fortunately! Because we wouldn't have anything left to wish...).
